#20. June 19. Pray the Navajo Mission team members' safe travel, coordination, and shopping on their way tomorrow. Pray for team unity, spiritual vitality, and joy. Ask God to give the leaders His wisdom, courage, and guidance in all matters. Pray for the hearts of the Navajo people to be receptive to Bible school invitations and the sharing of God's Word in days to come.
#19. June 28. Pray concerning the heat wave that is ongoing. May God give us some relief next week, and may He keep us safe. Pray for success in current facility adjustments that are being made at Hardrock to prepare for our arrival. Ask God to help each of us to pack light, but remember all our supplies and real necessities.
#18. June 27. Pray for safe and unhindered travel on Saturday, and that there will be no rendezvous issues as travellers meet up in the Phoenix airport. Pray that our vans will function properly. Pray for our food organization, and that grocery shopping in Flagstaff will be efficient.
#17. June 26. For all final "last minute" adjustments that may in progress to get prepared from our end. Pray for final preparations also at Hardrock Community Church, that our housing/accommodations will be sufficient. Pray especially that God will be working mightily this week to prepare the way for many people to attend the Bible school next week!
#16. June 25. Give thanks to God for our younger Navajo Mission team members! Pray for their safety, adjustments, team spirit, and growth in taking on new responsibilities.
#15. June 24. Pray extra for Mrs. Mele Manning who has been sacrificing and extending herself above and beyond to help all of us be prepared for this ministry. Of course, I super-appreciate her efforts and tireless hours, but I am concerned that she will be ok. Please pray for her health, strength, encouragement, and for God's grace to enable her to manage so many things.
#14. June 23. Pray for upcoming weather conditions and our being prepared for this. The weather forecast for next week in Hardrock is for beautiful sunshine with hot temperatures. Pray that team members will be ok, and that our efforts to keep relatively comfortable will be effective. Pray for "cool heads", for energy, and for wisdom to keep ourselves well hydrated. Pray that the AC in our vehicles will be working great all week.
#13. June 22. Pray for mission team members who are new to this ministry, and will be serving for the first time at Hardrock. Pray that they will be able to quickly adapt to a different environment and culture. Pray that the Holy Spirit will encourage their hearts, and enable them to effectively adjust to the rustic living situations and demands of serving long and busy days.
#12. June 21. Pray for effective coordination between team members and our groups from different parts of the country. Pray that God will blend the hearts of our whole team, and that our unity and love will be nurtured and strengthened all along the way!
#11. June 20. Pray for the Bible teaching ministry concerning Daniel in Babylon. Pray for Pastor Mark and Daniel Tuck in their roles. Ask God that these will faithfully present the stories from the Word of God in a captivating manner, and that these will be effectively accented through dramatic presentations "at the well".
#10. June 19. Pray for our "Shopkeepers" who will be portraying the scene in Babylon with crafts and goods. Pray readiness of shopkeepers, and for an effective depiction of the times when the Jews were taken captive to Babylon. Pray that all ordered shop materials will be arrive in Hardrock without delivery issues.
#9. June 18. Pray for our Tribal Group Leaders who are the small group leaders for the children's Bible School program. Ask God to prepare them to compassionately reach out to the children: to effectively bond, manage, lead, care, communicate, and share the gospel. Pray that many Navajo children will come to the Bible School, and be evangelized and further discipled through this vital Tribal Group ministry.
#8. June 17. Pray our Kitchen staff, as plans are being laid out for our meals. There are many people to feed; many food supplies need to be planned, calculated, purchased in Flagstaff, and then transported (there are no shopping stores in Hardrock, Arizona). Pray also that the Kitchen appliances on site would be in good working order.
#7. June 16. Pray for the planning of the pre-K program. Ask God to mightily bless the efforts of Marjie Bienkowski, Hong Du, Luetta Millheim, Jessie Zhang, Kevin Huang, and Roma Tuck, as they will be creating this daily program and leading the little ones to Jesus. May the Lord bring many children to the VBS who need to learn of Him!
#6. June 15. Pray for Larry Sing who is developing the Bible class for adults. Pray that Larry will have the mind of the Spirit as he makes preparations. Ask God to be working now in the hearts of Navajo adults, that many will come with eager minds to receive instruction in God's Word.
#5. June 14. Pray for the planning of a very effective, God-inspired, and God-empowered youth program. Pray for leaders Lindsay and Qinzhi, and for other coworkers Julia, Neal, Victor Wei, and Charlie. Pray for the Holy Spirit to provide creativity, guidance, wisdom, and recourses.
#4. June 13. Give thanks to God for the good number of participants on our mission team. Pray for Mrs. Mele Manning who is working hard on organizing and ordering our ministry materials. May her work be fruitful, and without complications.
#3. June 12. Ask God to work powerfully in the hearts of the Navajo people in order to prepare the way for our ministry. Pray that God will work now and in coming weeks to soften hearts to be responsive to our program and the gospel.
#2. June 11. Pray for the Navajo Pastor Albert Nez and other coworkers in Arizona, that they would be able to effectively make preparations for our team and this ministry. Pray for adequate and functional housing, kitchen, facilities, and plumbing.
#1. June 10. Pray today that each team member would be further prepared in their heart, and that we would be able to gain the prayer partner support that we need for this important ministry.
